Cheat Sheet when Feeling Terrible
We all have days when we just don't feel right, and don't know why. Use this list to figure out what might help.
- Does it feel like everyone hates you? Try get some sleep.
- Do you feel like you hate everyone? Try get some food.
- Do you feel like you hate yourself? Try have a shower.
- Does it feel like everyone hates everything? Try get some fresh air.
These won't always work, and may be symptoms of underlying issues, but quite often these four perspectives are your brain calling out for something specific as listed above.
If you still feel terrible after trying the above, take a look at your health. Your body is your brain's life support system, and if it's not working right, your brain will suffer.
- Are you eating the right things? You don't need to go on a kale and broccoli juice cleanse, but make sure you've got the basics in your diet. Protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fibre.
- Are you drinking enough? If your lips are cracking, you're probably not. Drink fluids with food, especially savoury food. Salt helps your body absorb more water.
- Is your living space clean? You can have a floordrobe and a few pizza boxes in the corner, so long as there's no mould, the room is warm enough, and you have the humidity under control. There are mould cleaning sprays you can buy easily, Throw out old food containers twice a week. Get a cheap air filter and use it. Air your room at least three times a week.
